This is a first attempt at portraits with pens, a new medium I've began to like. The portrait is of Zayn Malik whose face I have already drawn countless times to make this piece easier. I usually use graphite however I can see myself creating more pieces with pens. This portrait isn't as accurate as I'd like however it's not a bad start with a medium I had never tried before. Like most of my pieces this one is in black and white which is a theme I really like to draw. The drawing is more of a quick sketch and a trial run with pens. Given more time and attention to detail I could see myself creating pen pieces not that different from my graphite pieces.
